With an all-out effort, Sport Club do Recife's Erik Cordeiro threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Sport Club do Recife's Matías Mota slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Cordeiro. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. Victor Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Dé da Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dé da Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dé da Costa hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Anselmo Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club do Recife's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hamílton Ramos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Matías Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Cordeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Moraes in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Cordeiro saved Limão Com Mel from getting behind. Erik Cordeiro was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Anselmo Moraes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anselmo Moraes really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Erik Cordeiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sport Club do Recife's Anselmo Moraes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Anselmo Moraes succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. Anselmo Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Cordeiro having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Matías Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club do Recife's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matías Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Cordeiro having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play Limão Com Mel's Dé da Costa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 47th minute, Dé da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Limão Com Mel getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Roberto Machado hit a great ball. Erik Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Mota in the 49th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel de Sena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Anselmo Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club do Recife's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th match minute, Sport Club do Recife was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Rojelio to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Havier hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Limão Com Mel's Erik Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Moraes in the 58th minute of play. Matías Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Moraes in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 minutes, Roberto Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limão Com Mel and the Sport Club do Recife players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Roberto Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Tomas Havier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Moraes in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sport Club do Recife's Anselmo Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Matías Mota came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sport Club do Recife fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matías Mota couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Rojelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Erik Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Jailson Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limão Com Mel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club do Recife the free kick. After 91 played minutes Limão Com Mel got a freekick which was hit by Jailson Fontes. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Moraes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Cordeiro was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
