Chuteira Santa F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Chuteira Santa F.C fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Chuteira Santa F.C's Ismael Romero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tomé Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Vander having to interfere. Geovânio Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Wallin in the 19th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléberson Fonseca during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chuteira Santa F.C's attentive Valério Mandrak managed to snatch the ball when Éthan Raffin made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Scragbadun FC's goalkeeper Percy Paiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Tasso. Tomé Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovânio Vander came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Scragbadun FC's Tomé Araújo. But to his dismay, Tomé Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 39 played minutes Chuteira Santa F.C got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr de Barros. After a defensive mix-up in Chuteira Santa F.C's zone, Tomé Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio Vander came out of the goal and Tomé Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael Romero made a kick off. Tomé Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ingvar Wallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute of the match, Tomé Araújo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geovânio Vander was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 63 minutes, Reginaldo Simão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chuteira Santa F.C and the Scragbadun FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chuteira Santa F.C's Reginaldo Simão got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Tostão Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Paiva having to interfere. Tomé Araújo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovânio Vander. Geovânio Vander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Scragbadun FC's Dagoberto Ramalho was substituted for Waldemar Zachemski. Tomé Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Geovânio Vander made a huge save. The supporters of Chuteira Santa F.C booed when Scragbadun FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Tomé Araújo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Ingvar Wallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Scragbadun FC made a substitution. Dida Cavalcante replaced Tiaguinho Torres. Augusto Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Vander having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Dagoberto Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Scragbadun FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chuteira Santa F.C.
