Dominik Piglowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Wiliam Prado made a huge save. After some careless play in the Atlético Minuano defense, Genílson Leme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yuri Loureiro. The Atlético Minuano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yuri Loureiro should have stopped the shot. Yuri Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Leme in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute Silvério Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiliam Prado made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Nicolas Romero sent off a good shot on target. If Genílson Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominik Piglowski got free with Wiliam Prado in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Athletis PR's Wiliam Prado got control of the ball when Nicolas Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Atlético Minuano's Mathias Ortiz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Dominik Piglowski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wiliam Prado firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dominik Piglowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Wiliam Prado made a huge save. In the 36th minute Silvério Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Athletis PR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvério Fernandez in the 37th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Marco de Moraes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Yuri Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Fernandez in the 39th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Athletis PR's goalkeeper Wiliam Prado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Romero. In the 47th minute, Athletis PR's Anísio Valladares seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anísio Valladares the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Athletis PR protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anísio Valladares had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 46th minute, one of Athletis PR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Athletis PR. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvério Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Wiliam Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Piglowski in the 56th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Mathias Ortiz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Athletis PR's Wiliam Prado. Wiliam Prado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 83 played minutes Athletis PR got a freekick which was hit by Alex Rosado. Quim Cagara kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute of the match Ciro Vargas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yuri Loureiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Athletis PR players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atlético Minuano.
