The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Frank Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Chico Proença sped through New veneza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelsinho de Amaral. When Ennio Di Massimo fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nana FC's protests and gave Ennio Di Massimo a yellow card for diving instead. Ennio Di Massimo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Luizinho Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Proença took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelsinho de Amaral. Nelsinho de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Chico Proença struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Nelsinho de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nana FC. When Dito Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New veneza's protests and gave Dito Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for New veneza! New veneza's Nelsinho de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Proença in the 26th minute of play. Nelsinho de Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Ahlquist went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Chico Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiaguinho Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Pirro having to interfere. If Chico Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Frank Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelsinho de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chico Proença in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelsinho de Amaral saved New veneza from getting behind. The Nana FC fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Nana FC's Chico Proença looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiaguinho Vaz to make the kick off. Chico Proença had several of the New veneza's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Nelsinho de Amaral as he didn't even see the shot coming. Nelsinho de Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Barros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 55 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico Proença in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 62 minutes into the match, Frank Barros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nelsinho de Amaral, 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Proença in the 66th minute of play forced New veneza's goalkeeper Nelsinho de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chico Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nelsinho de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind New veneza's goalkeeper Nelsinho de Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute of the match Nana FC got a corner. New veneza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robert Ahlquist ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chico Proença might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelsinho de Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chico Proença ran back to his position shaking his head. Carolo Pirro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Freire in the 77th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Nana FC's Frank Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nelsinho de Amaral. That made the score 0-10 after 79 minutes of play. 83 minutes into the match, New veneza's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Proença came free, but Nelsinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nana FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Robert Ahlquist in the 84th minute. After 87 played minutes New veneza got a freekick which was hit by Chico da Cunha. Nelsinho de Amaral was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Raúl de Almeida. Frank Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Nelsinho de Amaral made a huge save. Frank Barros came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nelsinho de Amaral could save by the left post. Nana FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after New veneza's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Robert Ahlquist took the corner. Nelsinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by New veneza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Robert Ahlquist was slow to take the kick. During this time Nana FC's players had a chance to rest. Nana FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
