Moura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Fernando Vander got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice moves Fernando Vander could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Chico Pinho however easily saved by the left post. In the 23rd minute, Ricardinho Jacinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Fernando Vanders short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Chico Pinho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A nice corner shot did that Vinícius Vander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Chico Pinho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Moura's Edmondo Colella got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Moura's goalkeeper Chico Pinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Vander. Moura's Chico Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Moura from getting a goal against them. Steve Kerr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederick Salms, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ceará's Dinei Cabral got a free kick in the 45th minute. Moura made a substitution. Adriano Pena replaced Frederick Salms. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Vander made a kick off. With a little luck, Ceará's Steve Kerr got control of the ball when Ricardinho Jacinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciro Cordeiro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ceará getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Vinícius Vander hit a great ball. 57 minutes in the game Alan Soares got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Vinícius Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Clayton Gamarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Ceará's goalkeeper Steve Kerr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Pena. Moura's Chico Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Vander in the 66th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Moura's Edmondo Colella slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Steve Kerr. That made the score 1-2 after 77 minutes of play. In the 80th minute Clayton Gamarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Kerr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clayton Gamarra took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Moura's Chico Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Vander in the 84th minute of play. Steve Kerr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmondo Colella in the 89th minute. Ricardinho Jacinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Steve Kerr made a huge save. Adriano Pena took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. The Ceará fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Moura were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
