Fernando Vander started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Vander got free with Raphael Peres in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute, Iuri Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steve Kerr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. If Igor Michalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ceará's Fernando Vander was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ceará's Steve Kerr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Michalski in the 15th minute of play. Steve Kerr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Michalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Chapadao Rs's goalkeeper Raphael Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Vander. Ciro Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Vander in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raphael Peres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fernando Vander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Raphael Peres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rdth minute of the game Fernando Vander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chapadao Rs's Raphael Peres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chapadao Rs's attentive Frechoso Polentinos managed to snatch the ball when Enrico Barducci made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. The supporters of Chapadao Rs booed when Ceará was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Peres having to interfere. The supporters of Chapadao Rs booed when Ceará was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Michalski was the one to do the kick off. Steve Kerr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Michalski in the 51st minute of the match. Chapadao Rs's Raphael Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Fagildo in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Chapadao Rs's Igor Michalski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steve Kerr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Steve Kerr acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Felipe Arce. After a rather tough play, Chapadao Rs's Felipe Arce got a free kick in the 58th minute. Felipe Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Fernando Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceará's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Vander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinícius Vander made in the 62nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fernando Vander however managed to control. When Ceará's Fernando Vander in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chapadao Rs's goalie prevented a goal. Fernando Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chapadao Rs's Yuri Barros was substituted for Ariel Rafe. Chapadao Rs's Igor Michalski got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chapadao Rs's Raphael Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Vander in the 83rd minute of play. Steve Kerr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Michalski in the 85th minute. The corner ended in Vinícius Vander almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chapadao Rs's Raphael Peres did a great save. If Igor Michalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ceará were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chapadao Rs for a fine match.
