Sondang Heryuwono stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dadá Paulista's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Beltrao F.C's Tanek Kisiel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. João Pedro Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fiori da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guto Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tanek Kisiel in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute of the match, Tanek Kisiel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guto Toscano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Beltrao F.C's Armando Carvalho got a free kick in the 48th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Thunderstruck FC's Elias Paraibano tried to score from far away in the 49th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tanek Kisiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Bebeto Figueiredo took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Sondang Heryuwono to make any attempt to save it.
