Spectators: 7686 (Terracing: 5765, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Virgílio Viana made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, David Aiach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olímpico FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s Edgard Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Aiach in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Agnaldo Carneiro who took care of the corner kick. David Aiach took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Travassos. Edgard Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 16 minutes into the game, David Aiach recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgard Travassos. David Aiach showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. David Aiach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Travassos having to interfere. If Agnaldo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Aiach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Aiach got free with Edgard Travassos in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the match, Virgílio Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio Hoffmann. Olímpico FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgílio Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Virgílio Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Geovânio Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica F. C. booed when Olímpico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Aiach didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Aiach was the one to do the kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Olímpico FC's Abel Carvalho made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Travassos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute Abel Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, David Aiach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olímpico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Aiach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when David Aiach came free, but Edgard Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Travassos came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Olímpico FC's David Aiach. But to his dismay, David Aiach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Arnaldo Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Edgard Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Aiach, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If David Aiach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Aiach in the 81st minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s goalkeeper Edgard Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Olímpico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Leão to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Murillo Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s Edgard Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Carvalho in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Aiach in the 96th minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s goalkeeper Edgard Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
