Angelo Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Anísio Queirós notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CA Boca Juniors's Angelo Correia. Angelo Correia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Loramendi Cabarcos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Velloso in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Zé Paulo Tepedino could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Loramendi Cabarcos however easily saved by the left post. Loramendi Cabarcos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Velloso in the 17th minute of the match. Loramendi Cabarcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Cerezo in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Sílvio Luís Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loramendi Cabarcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loramendi Cabarcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, CA Boca Juniors's Toninho Vieira got a free kick in the 27th minute. The E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when E.C. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO booed when CA Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Neymar Junior notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of CA Boca Juniors's Angelo Correia. Angelo Correia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 35 minutes of play, E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO's Lion Messi made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the game, Ivo França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO the free kick. Lion Messi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Angelo Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, CA Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Lion Messi came free, but Angelo Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lion Messi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. CA Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Lion Messi scored to the left of an out of position Angelo Correia, making the score, 0-7. Angelo Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lion Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO's Loramendi Cabarcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Tepedino in the 59th minute of play. Angelo Correia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anísio Queirós showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 61 minute of play. In the 65th minute, Lion Messi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Angelo Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lion Messi in the 69th minute of play. Anísio Queirós's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Angelo Correia firmly grabbed it by the left post. Angelo Correia didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 0-10. Lion Messi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the CA Boca Juniors defense, Lion Messi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Correia. The CA Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Correia should have stopped the shot. Neymar Junior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO's Neymar Junior dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-13. Anísio Queirós succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-14 in the 95th playminute.
