Sydney Gonçalves got in the 3rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Nico Tasso handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Laércio Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Psiu!:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Encanto:s goal. Psiu!:s Laércio Sá showed great skill when he stopped Bernardinho Paes:s penalty. Osvaldinho Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laércio Sá having to make a save. Sydney Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Tasso having to interfere. If Osvaldinho Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Psiu!'s goalkeeper Laércio Sá, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Osvaldinho Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laércio Sá having to make a save. Osvaldinho Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laércio Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Laércio Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mané Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Tasso having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Romeu Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Encanto and the Psiu! players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laércio Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldinho Rocha in the 37th minute of play. Nico Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Maicon Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Osvaldinho Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Encanto's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldinho Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laércio Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th match minute, Psiu! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Berger to maneuver through the defense. Laércio Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laércio Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laércio Sá came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Encanto's Osvaldinho Rocha. But to his dismay, Osvaldinho Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Laércio Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldinho Rocha in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Psiu! booed when Encanto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nico Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. João Adolfo Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, one of Psiu!:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sydney Gonçalves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nico Tasso came out and tried to block the shot, but Sydney Gonçalves slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 92nd minute. The Encanto players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
