Dagoberto Macedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Barretos's players had a chance to rest. In the 20th minute Sydney Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Dagoberto Macedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Psiu!'s Laércio Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Adalberto Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laércio Sá was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Barretos's Josué Barbosa got a free kick in the 31st minute. Mané Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Augusto Damião made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sydney Gonçalves in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Adalberto Loyola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laércio Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The wind increased when Sydney Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. Sydney Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Augusto Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Macedo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laércio Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dagoberto Macedo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Laércio Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barretos. Adalberto Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, Eliseo Locaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laércio Sá was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adalberto Loyola showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 66 minute of play. Adalberto Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Laércio Sá made a huge save. In the 72nd minute Sydney Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Psiu!'s Laércio Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Macedo in the 80th minute of play. Dagoberto Macedo took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laércio Sá. Laércio Sá dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 84th match minute, Psiu! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maicon Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Sydney Gonçalves took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Augusto Damião. José Augusto Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. In the 92nd minute Dagoberto Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
