Spectators: 7142 (Terracing: 5782, Seating: 1330, VIP seats: 30) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Einar Josefsson kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Goyaz's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Josefsson came free, but Severino James reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Daniel Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goyaz. PeidôXerozo EC's Daniel Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Peres in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Antônio Mesquita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PeidôXerozo EC's Daniel Linares. Daniel Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Mesquita in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Linares saved PeidôXerozo EC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, PeidôXerozo EC's Váldson Negri got a free kick in the 18th minute. Daniel Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Sampaio in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Antônio Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Linares. PeidôXerozo EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antônio Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Antônio Mesquita notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of PeidôXerozo EC's Daniel Linares. Daniel Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manoel Antunes hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Manoel Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Einar Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino James having to interfere. Antônio Mesquita took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Linares. Daniel Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Téo Brito in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino James prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Goyaz's Manoel Antunes got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Severino James took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Barratt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Linares came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Goyaz's Leandro Peres. But to his dismay, Leandro Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Linares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antônio Mesquita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 52 minute of play. After 56 played minutes PeidôXerozo EC got a freekick which was hit by Téo Brito. In the 57th minute, Antônio Mesquita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Einar Josefsson in the 60th minute of play forced Goyaz's goalkeeper Severino James to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Goyaz's Antônio Mesquita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Davi Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Daniel Linares made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Mesquita in the 71st minute of play forced PeidôXerozo EC's goalkeeper Daniel Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Linares was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Antônio Mesquita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antônio Mesquita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Antônio Mesquita took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Daniel Linares to make any attempt to save it. Leandro Peres came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Daniel Linares could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davi Sampaio during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes Goyaz got a freekick which was hit by Davi Sampaio. Daniel Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Mesquita in the 95th minute of play. The Goyaz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Goyaz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
