The audience was convinced that Ionel Dănciulescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernado Chapado was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Ademar Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademar Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laércio Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Serafim Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. As de Ouro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milian Basel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, As de Ouro's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Marques came free, but Milian Basel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafim Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernado Chapado having to interfere. With an all-out effort, As de Ouro's Fernado Chapado threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Krzysztof Kluska, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gláuber Donato's late challenge caught a As de Ouro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Donato helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, RS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gláuber Donato got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, As de Ouro's Vito Fantini tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ionel Dănciulescu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Fernado Chapado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, As de Ouro's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Marques came free, but Milian Basel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on As de Ouro's corner Jorge Terra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fernado Chapado quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to RS FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Wanderson Torres hit a great ball. In the 88th minute of the game Gláuber Donato made a throw-in which Emerson Salgado played forward. After a rather tough play, RS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Tulio Gauchet got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Jorge Terra came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the As de Ouro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Terra couldn't finish the play. The RS FUTEBOL CLUBE support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
