The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zona de Combate's Waldir Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Aparecido in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Aparecido in the 8th minute of play forced Zona de Combate's goalkeeper Waldir Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Vítor Aparecido scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir Diniz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waldir Diniz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilio Lain went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute Emilio Lain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Emilio Lain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rubens Messias charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubens Messias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Zona de Combate got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Messias. 26 minutes into the game, Braga Junior FC's Emilio Lain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldir Diniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafa de Brito during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafa de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. But to his dismay, José Vítor Aparecido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 40th match minute, Zona de Combate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Viana to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute of the match Emilio Lain shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldir Diniz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. José Vítor Aparecido took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldir Diniz. Waldir Diniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Aparecido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Emilio Lain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braga Junior FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Lain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Diniz was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and José Vítor Aparecido capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Vítor Aparecido really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. In the 62nd minute, José Vítor Aparecido reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldir Diniz. The goal made the score 0-10. Waldir Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Botelho in the 65th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, José Vítor Aparecido lined in a short shot 0-12 behind a frustrated Waldir Diniz. After a rather tough play, Zona de Combate's Rafa de Brito got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Hélio Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Braga Junior FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Vaz couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Alfredinho Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 0-14 without a chance for Waldir Diniz to make any attempt to save it. 90 minutes into the match, Zona de Combate's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Lain came free, but Waldir Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Rubens Messias in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Braga Junior FC's Edison Brena. Waldir Diniz was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Hélio Vaz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hélio Vaz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-15. Waldir Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Lain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Zona de Combate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Braga Junior FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
