In the 41st minute Fred Valencia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milian Basel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fred Valencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 46thth minute of the game Fred Valencia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but As de Ouro's Milian Basel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ionel Dănciulescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Alisson Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Dănciulescu in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Fred Valencia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Valencia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Fred Valencia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Milian Basel. That made the score 1-6 after 68 minutes of play. The supporters of INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA booed when As de Ouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Valencia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milian Basel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Carlo Gamarra hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 85th play minutes Fred Valencia shot 1-8, a short shot which went by Milian Basel and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, As de Ouro's Nestor Koehler got a free kick in the 91st minute. Milian Basel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nilmar de Souza. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Fred Valencia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The As de Ouro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
