The wind increased when Caio Viana made the kick off in the second half. When Gilvan Brito came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the MM g fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Brito couldn't finish the play. After 80 played minutes Zona de Combate got a freekick which was hit by Rafa de Brito. Rafa de Brito's late challenge caught a MM g's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafa de Brito helped the player get up and apologised. MM g made a substitution. Eliseu Zonta replaced Valdemar Brummer. Waldir Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Paes in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Caio Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldir Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Paes in the 98th minute of play. MM g walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
