AUGE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YPIRANGA F.C. the free kick. In the 47th match minute, AUGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Pirani to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerônimo Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AUGE FC's Abel Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save AUGE FC from getting a goal against them. 66 minutes into the match, AUGE FC's goalkeeper Abel Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermínio Catarinense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermínio Catarinense got free with Abel Maranhense in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Abel Maranhense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 71 minutes into the match, AUGE FC's goalkeeper Abel Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maicon Maia.
