With a little luck, SC FERRARI's Fernando Otero got control of the ball when Jacobo Casado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute, SeleSantos FC's Niilo Mikkola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernando Otero. Fernando Otero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Niilo Mikkola made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jacobo Casado sped through SC FERRARI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Otero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niilo Mikkola in the 54th minute of play forced SC FERRARI's goalkeeper Fernando Otero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC FERRARI's Fernando Otero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Casado in the 64th minute of play. Fernando Otero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 95 minutes on the clock, Aílton Seco commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. SeleSantos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
