Augusto Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Alegrense Futebol Clube's Alex Figueiredo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Augusto Lara. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. In the 17th minute, Tadeu de Sena reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Augusto Lara. The goal made the score 3-0. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Alex Figueiredo put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Augusto Lara. In the 23rd minute, Alegrense Futebol Clube's Sílvio Luiz Mattos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Augusto Lara. Augusto Lara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Defensores F.C.'s zone, Alex Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Lara came out of the goal and Alex Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Lara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sílvio Luiz Mattos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 28 minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Alberto Loureiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Augusto Lara, 7-0. Tadeu de Sena took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Lara. Augusto Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Tadeu de Sena scored 9-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Alberto Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Alberto Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alegrense Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Figueiredo was the one to do the kick off. When Sílvio Luiz Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Alegrense Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luiz Mattos couldn't finish the play. Alex Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 53 minutes into the match, Edgard Guedes notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Defensores F.C.'s Augusto Lara. Augusto Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 63rd minute, Alex Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Lara. Defensores F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Figueiredo in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Lara saved Defensores F.C. from getting behind. If Alex Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Tadeu de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alegrense Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 15-0. Alex Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Lara having to interfere. The supporters of Alegrense Futebol Clube booed when Defensores F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Figueiredo went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 16-0 was the resulting score. In the 87th match minute, Alegrense Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Mattos in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Alex Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alegrense Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 17-0. Erik Tinoco's late challenge caught a Alegrense Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Tinoco helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Defensores F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alegrense Futebol Clube:s goal. Alegrense Futebol Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
