An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar de Salles in the 3rd minute of play forced Paraná Clube Brasil's goalkeeper Biagio Furino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Arlindo Silveira put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Augusto Lara. After 9 minutes of play, Defensores F.C.'s Zeca Queiroz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Biagio Furino was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, Paraná Clube Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Queiroz came free, but Biagio Furino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovani Batista had several of the Defensores F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Augusto Lara as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 25th minute, Luizinho Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arlindo Silveira took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Lara. Augusto Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. A hard shot 29 in the game by Arlindo Silveira from a close distance when the talented Augusto Lara managed to make a qualified save. Defensores F.C.'s players were relieved. Isidoro Felipillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Paraná Clube Brasil's Arlindo Silveira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. If Isidoro Felipillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute Isidoro Felipillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Defensores F.C.'s Augusto Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Silveira in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arlindo Silveira to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Defensores F.C. defense, Arlindo Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Lara. The Defensores F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Lara should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Isidoro Felipillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraná Clube Brasil's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Felipillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute Arlindo Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Defensores F.C. getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Luizinho Sergipano hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo Silveira in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the match, Defensores F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Felipillo came free, but Augusto Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Isidoro Felipillo made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Lara. Defensores F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Arlindo Silveira struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Augusto Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná Clube Brasil. 74 minutes into the match, Isidoro Felipillo notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Defensores F.C.'s Augusto Lara. Augusto Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Arlindo Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th match minute, Defensores F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 89 minutes, Arlindo Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraná Clube Brasil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlindo Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Edgar de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
