Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Barrenta SC from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute Fellipe Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes of play, Alegrense Futebol Clube's Sílvio Luiz Mattos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Trigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cássio Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Tastzian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Loureiro. 19 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz Mattos came free, but Edgar Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Alegrense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nariman Mansourian came free, but Cássio Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alex Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Alegrense Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. After 36 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Arruda. Alegrense Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urban Stenman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

Cássio Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nariman Mansourian in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Alegrense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Lago came free, but Cássio Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Tastzian in the 56th minute. Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Mattos in the 62nd minute of play. Cássio Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Lago in the 73rd minute of play. Jorge Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Alegrense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Selçuk Pozan. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilmar da Rocha during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Alegrense Futebol Clube booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Agustín Tastzian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Valdemar Cabral hit a great ball. Edgar Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommas Anthonissen, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Figueiredo in the 94th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Alex Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alegrense Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alegrense Futebol Clube succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Barrenta SC had controlled the match.
