In the 5th minute Franklin Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Elói Aparecido. Paulo Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cauã Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Meirelles came free, but Ismael Nazario Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Meirelles in the 18th minute of play. Cauã Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Papunhas EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Agostinho de Carvalho in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's Paulo Vander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cauã Macedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Paulo Vander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauã Macedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franklin Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. A collision led to Umarizal getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Max Dal Bello hit a great ball. Franklin Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 played minutes Umarizal got a freekick which was hit by Metodi Belorechki. 1-1 became the score in the 42nd minute when Franklin Meirelles elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

54 minutes into the match, Umarizal's goalkeeper Cauã Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Telmo Peres. The crowd rose to their feet as Telmo Peres kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cauã Macedo. That made the score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Inácio Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papunhas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cauã Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Paulo Vander came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Papunhas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Vander couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Prado. After some careless play in the Umarizal defense, Valdemar de Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauã Macedo. The Umarizal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauã Macedo should have stopped the shot. Papunhas EC's Inácio Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umarizal's Delfim de Andrade was substituted for Leonardo Sena. 73 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Meirelles came free, but Ismael Nazario Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Agostinho de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papunhas EC's protests and gave Agostinho de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Telmo Peres got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Meirelles came free, but Ismael Nazario Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The corner ended in Max Dal Bello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre did a great save.
