In the 7th minute, Maurinho de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 minutes of play, Nitra FC's Pedrinho Castro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Víktor Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jerônimo Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcinho Barros's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Yuri Tutorskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Claudinho Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Fernandes made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Tutorskiy in the 60th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Víktor Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Cabral to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Claudinho Fernandes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jerônimo Maranhense, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Nitra FC's zone, Claudinho Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerônimo Maranhense came out of the goal and Claudinho Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ibirama Futebol Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
