Fernandão Azevedo scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Váldson Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute Fernandão Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, A. E. Vile's goalkeeper Váldson Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernandão Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Zanette in the 23rd minute of play forced Ajax AFC's goalkeeper Camilo Chale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Váldson Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A. E. Vile played a much better game than Ajax AFC and deserved their victory. The Ajax AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
