Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Isaltino Cearense started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Isaltino Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Terra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaltino Cearense went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 8 minutes, Andriy Shevchenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pacuri SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andriy Shevchenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Pacuri SS booed when Coventry Motors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Pacuri SS's Geovanni Barral made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adilson Hoffmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastião Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Cearense in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Coventry Motors FC's Germano Freire got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Geovanni Barral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Adilson Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pacuri SS's Dênis Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dênis Munhoz came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Pacuri SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Munhoz couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Coventry Motors FC's Egídio Guerra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Egídio Guerra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Coventry Motors FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Egídio Guerra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Egídio Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Coventry Motors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Bertassi came free, but Adilson Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pacuri SS's Sebastião Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Pacuri SS from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Coventry Motors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Barral came free, but Adilson Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isaltino Cearense hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Geovanni Barral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th play minute Geovanni Barral came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Adilson Hoffmann. 1-3. Andriy Shevchenko's late challenge caught a Coventry Motors FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andriy Shevchenko helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Coventry Motors FC booed when Pacuri SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andriy Shevchenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andriy Shevchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pacuri SS's Laércio Fernandes was substituted for Andriy Shevchenko. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Abel Secco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Pacuri SS's Geovanni Barral got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a little luck, Coventry Motors FC's Adilson Hoffmann got control of the ball when Abel Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abel Secco might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adilson Hoffmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Secco ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Pacuri SS booed when Coventry Motors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Geovanni Barral in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adilson Hoffmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 91 minutes into the match, Naldo Custódio notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Coventry Motors FC's Adilson Hoffmann. Adilson Hoffmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
