A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Antonio Failde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Er Miner made a huge save. After 12 minutes Countdown FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rodriguinho Duarte who took care of the corner kick. In the 16th minute of the match, Antonio Failde got a very nice opportunity to score, but Er Miner was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 17th minute Barradas FC were awarded a corner. Rodriguinho Duarte went to the cornerflag to take it. Rodriguinho Duarte made a great header on Barradas FC's corner, it was just that Countdown FC's Er Miner managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 20th minute João Vítor Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Adolfo Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Barradas FC defense, Washington Demartis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Adolfo Almeida. The Barradas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Adolfo Almeida should have stopped the shot. João Adolfo Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Demartis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Countdown FC's Diguinho Rezende got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Barradas FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Barros came free, but João Adolfo Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Failde struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Er Miner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barradas FC. The audience was convinced that Antonio Failde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Er Miner was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st match minute, Barradas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Failde to maneuver through the defense. Rodriguinho Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Er Miner having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Antonio Failde made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, João Vítor Barros tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Adolfo Almeida saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Washington Demartis in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Adolfo Almeida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 60 played minutes Barradas FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Duarte. João Adolfo Almeida was a little too slow when João Vítor Barros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 81st minute, Washington Demartis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Adolfo Almeida. The goal made the score 0-3. 88 minutes into the match, Countdown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Sá came free, but Er Miner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Countdown FC got a freekick which was hit by Válter Dante. A collision led to Countdown FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Diguinho Rezende hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Countdown FC's zone, Antonio Failde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Er Miner came out of the goal and Antonio Failde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
