He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diamond Football Club reached it. Geraldo Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Damaso Rafel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Borges in the 9th minute of play. Cléberson Alves made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Candido Uriondo sent off a good shot on target. Diamond Football Club's Cléberson Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Duarte in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Alexandre Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diamond Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Rafel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute Albertinho Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Rafel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Rafel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Soeiro's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 23rd match minute, ARGENTINO JNR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Matos to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Borges in the 24th minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Diamond Football Club's Albertinho Borges made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damaso Rafel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diamond Football Club's Albertinho Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cléberson Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Candido Uriondo in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Borges's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damaso Rafel was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Damaso Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Borges in the 38th minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Soeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute João Paulo Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match ARGENTINO JNR got a corner. Diamond Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. José Pedro Matos ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that José Pedro Matos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cléberson Alves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Diamond Football Club's Cléberson Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Bastos in the 56th minute of play. Albertinho Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damaso Rafel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. Damaso Rafel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Borges in the 61st minute of play. Cléberson Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Paulo Domingues went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Nico Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Diamond Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Borges. After a defensive mix-up in ARGENTINO JNR's zone, Alexandre Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Rafel came out of the goal and Alexandre Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Soeiro got free with Damaso Rafel in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Candido Uriondo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Nico Corrêa notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of ARGENTINO JNR's Damaso Rafel. Damaso Rafel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Domingues came free, but Cléberson Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Diamond Football Club's Albertinho Borges ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Damaso Rafel. Damaso Rafel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Diamond Football Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
