After 9 played minutes Zandarin FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Camargo. 11 minutes into the match, Zandarin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Viana came free, but Rogério Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Haroldo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Joel Sousa in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LaCity's Osvaldo Lluis. 24 minutes into the match, Zandarin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Viana came free, but Rogério Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Viana in the 27th minute of play forced Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Rogério Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Zandarin FC booed when LaCity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Kaptein didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Flavinho Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zandarin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Zandarin FC defense, Haroldo Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Paraense. The Zandarin FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Paraense should have stopped the shot. Rogério Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Nunes in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zandarin FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Célio Nunes was slow to take the kick. During this time LaCity's players had a chance to rest. The corner led LaCity's Célio Nunes to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogério Paraense despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. LaCity's Décio Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayındır Mehmet Şahdar in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Eriberto de Souza made the kick off in the second half. Rogério Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Viana got free with Rogério Paraense in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Haroldo Viana came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the LaCity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Viana couldn't finish the play. Rogério Paraense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eriberto de Souza's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Rogério Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Viana in the 66th minute. Rogério Paraense made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Eriberto de Souza sent off a good shot on target. LaCity's Eriberto de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LaCity's Ian Torres was substituted for Arthur Paiva. LaCity's Duarte Madureira was substituted for Vebjørn Knutsen. Alfredinho Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfredinho Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rogério Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto de Souza in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Zandarin FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Severino Favoretto hit a great ball. Célio Nunes struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rogério Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LaCity. Eriberto de Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Rogério Paraense made a huge save. Rogério Paraense didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. LaCity's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
