Telmo Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Sergipano in the 37th minute of play. The E.C 2 Janeiro RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Telmo Madureira should have stopped the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Paes to make the kick off. Geraldo Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Edgard Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes ValenBehr F.C. - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ostoja Šupe. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Sergipano couldn't finish the play. Tostão Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Paulo José Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joélson Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidnei Rocha in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Madureira saved E.C 2 Janeiro RS from getting behind.
