In the 5thth minute of the game Oséias Severo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Tostão Nunes in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by LULU TRICOLOR's Juninho Donatello. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oséias Severo in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Madureira saved E.C 2 Janeiro RS from getting behind. After 16 minutes of play, LULU TRICOLOR's Oséias Severo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telmo Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihály Hámori in the 21st minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséias Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Oséias Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Oséias Severo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo Madureira was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After 48 played minutes LULU TRICOLOR got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Cardozo. After 50 played minutes LULU TRICOLOR got a freekick which was hit by Duda Mineiro. In the 51st minute Raphael de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The E.C 2 Janeiro RS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LULU TRICOLOR were winning 0-2.

Duda Mineiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Telmo Madureira firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to E.C 2 Janeiro RS getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kaká Ramalho hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Oséias Severo put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihály Hámori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihály Hámori in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira got control of the ball when Oséias Severo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiaguinho Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Albertinho Guedes threw the ball into play from the sideline. In the 85th match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Eger to maneuver through the defense. After 86 played minutes, LULU TRICOLOR's Duda Mineiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Telmo Madureira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LULU TRICOLOR reached it. Duda Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute Duda Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over LULU TRICOLOR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than E.C 2 Janeiro RS throughout the match.
