E.C 2 Janeiro RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Carmona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 34th minute, Baltazar Zonta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo Madureira was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 38 minutes into the game, Real Cruzeiro FC's Vivaldo Carmona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 9-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 50th minute, Geraldo Eger had to leave the field with a concussion. 51 minutes into the game, Baltazar Zonta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C 2 Janeiro RS the free kick. Baltazar Zonta hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Telmo Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 96 minutes, Vivaldo Carmona made it 16-0 with a short kick to the right side. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Real Cruzeiro FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
