With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dário Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 minutes Lucas Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dino Mandrak who took care of the corner kick. Gugu Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Pedro Neiva in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dário Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Aguias Ferozes F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Aguias Ferozes F.C.'s João Pedro Neiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38th minute João Pedro Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Pedro Neiva in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Saldanha saved Lucas Juniors from getting behind. João Pedro Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enio da Silva got free with Benjamim Garcia in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reynaldo Diniz hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The Lucas Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aguias Ferozes F.C. were winning 0-2.

The audience was convinced that João Pedro Neiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Saldanha was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
