In the 4th minute of the match, Basílio Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edu Motta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Guilherme Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo da Silveira in the 14th minute of play forced JotaPaTos's goalkeeper Edu Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the JotaPaTos defense, Tiaguinho Paraense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edu Motta. The JotaPaTos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edu Motta should have stopped the shot. João Francisco Novaes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Edu Motta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 19 minutes into the match, JotaPaTos's goalkeeper Edu Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Francisco Novaes. Hudson Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulista Futebol Clube's Basílio Mesquita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edu Motta. That made the score 3-0 after 32 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Caetano Tróia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Guilherme Moura was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After 39 minutes JotaPaTos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horácio Campidelis who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ramiro do Nascimento got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edu Motta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If João Francisco Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Hugo da Silveira made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Tiaguinho Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute Basílio Mesquita suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Júnior das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JotaPaTos's protests and gave Júnior das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th match minute, JotaPaTos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior das Neves to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes of play, Paulista Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho Paraense made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edu Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guga Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Luís Guilherme Moura when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Paulista Futebol Clube's Luís Guilherme Moura got control of the ball when Waldir Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurinho Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Edu Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, João Francisco Novaes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Edu Motta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute, Hugo da Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edu Motta was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. JotaPaTos's Edu Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Silva in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, JotaPaTos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Eger to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the JotaPaTos defense, Tiaguinho Paraense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edu Motta. The JotaPaTos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edu Motta should have stopped the shot. Guga Seco in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Guilherme Moura, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tiaguinho Paraense struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Edu Motta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paulista Futebol Clube. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hugo da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulista Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo da Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edu Motta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Paulista Futebol Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
