In the 18th minute, José Paulo da Rocha made a precise shot to the right of Vitório Massa. Itapema's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Itapema's Durvalino Cavalcante got a free kick in the 20th minute. Itapema's Vitório Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Itapema from getting a goal against them. Vitório Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo da Silveira in the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Reynaldo da Silveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vitório Massa. Edinho Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Cavalcante in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo da Silveira in the 35th minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Vitório Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Pedro Massa thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Edinho Santana, a very annoying self made goal in the 65th minute which led to 5-2. 68 minutes into the match, Itapema's Amos Maietta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edinho Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute.
