Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The supporters of HeBr United booed when Itapema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Cristoffer Rodríguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Sebastião Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilberto Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Ferreira in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Itapema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of HeBr United booed when Itapema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, HeBr United's Wiliam Messias got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Durvalino Cavalcante in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gilberto Dionísio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vitório Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristoffer Rodríguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes of play, Itapema's Amos Maietta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Dionísio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amos Maietta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gilberto Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevao Ferreira in the 43rd minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Vitório Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Itapema's Alex Félix got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Estevao Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. HeBr United's supporters rose to their feet, but Estevao Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitório Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, HeBr United's Hélio Ferreira got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Durvalino Cavalcante to make the kick off. HeBr United's Gilberto Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino Cavalcante in the 52nd minute of play. Cristoffer Rodríguez scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitório Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cato Haglund hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes, Itapema's Vladimir Albuquerque shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Dionísio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itapema reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Nascimento in the 61st minute of play forced HeBr United's goalkeeper Gilberto Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitório Massa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Moisés Ramalho. 77 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoffer Rodríguez came free, but Vitório Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitório Massa came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by HeBr United's Heitor Ferreira. But to his dismay, Heitor Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Vitório Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Ferreira in the 86th minute of the match. If Cristoffer Rodríguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Itapema fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. HeBr United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
