Jardel Paiva came out of the goal and Laerte de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bixintxo Arbieto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jardel Paiva made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Jacinto Ortiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Qijua F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Leandro Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Ortiz in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, New Colorado's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Machado came free, but Jardel Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jardel Paiva managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Qijua F.C's Bixintxo Arbieto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bixintxo Arbieto in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Vito Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Jardel Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bixintxo Arbieto's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Bixintxo Arbieto made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bixintxo Arbieto in the 52nd minute of play forced New Colorado's goalkeeper Jardel Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jardel Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Qijua F.C's Leandro Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Luiz Fábio Catarinense fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Colorado's protests and gave Luiz Fábio Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Luiz Fábio Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Salles, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Vito Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Lara during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, New Colorado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Lara to maneuver through the defense. If Germano Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Diguinho Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Colorado's supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donzel Abasalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Guga Vianna could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Donzel Abasalo however easily saved by the left post. In the 78th minute Jacinto Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vito Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. New Colorado's Jardel Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Machado in the 84th minute of play. When Bixintxo Arbieto came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Qijua F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bixintxo Arbieto couldn't finish the play. The Qijua F.C fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Qijua F.C's Bixintxo Arbieto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. For all the effort they put into the match, the New Colorado players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Qijua F.C.
