Diguinho Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Che read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Germano Vargas's late challenge caught a Sociedade Esportiva Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Germano Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. Germano Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Flávio Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Che showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jardel Paiva made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Flávio Veloso sent off a good shot on target. When Guga Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Colorado's protests and gave Guga Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, New Colorado's Guga Vianna got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Germano Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reynaldo Falcão to make the kick off. Jardel Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Conrado Che was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Germano Vargas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 53 minute of play. Germano Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Çağrı Peyam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Che read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Conrado Che made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vito Pirani in the 61st minute. Conrado Che took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Germano Vargas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrado Che was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jânio Vides in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Che prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Vítor Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Sociedade Esportiva Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Vargas came free, but Conrado Che reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Germano Vargas made a precise shot to the right of Conrado Che. Sociedade Esportiva Roma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Guga Vianna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conrado Che having to make a save.
