In the 20th match minute, Tocantinópolis EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Van Hove to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Michel Bagge made a precise shot to the right of Vitório Massa. Itapema's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Itapema getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Goiano hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Itapema's goalkeeper Vitório Massa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Eger. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iuri Cosme in the 39th minute of play. Henk Latomme received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vitório Massa came out and tried to block the shot, but Henk Latomme slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. If Silvano Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Durvalino Cavalcante made the kick off in the second half. Vitório Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Latomme went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eger in the 64th minute of play. Durvalino Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Itapema's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henk Latomme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Latomme came free, but Vitório Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitório Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Latomme went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute Henk Latomme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tocantinópolis EC's Murillo Vargas was substituted for Henk Latomme. Itapema's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vladimir Albuquerque in the 88th minute. The corner led Itapema's Vladimir Albuquerque to fire away a dangerous shot which Hélio Gomes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
