In the 13thth minute of the game Semih Şentürk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E.C Vera Cruz's Alexandre Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Ksawery Bielatowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. E.C Vera Cruz's Alexandre Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Arósio in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Ksawery Bielatowicz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ulysses Novaes, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Semih Şentürk in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Martins saved E.C Vera Cruz from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Semih Şentürk in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. E.C Vera Cruz's Hugo Wiarda got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Luisão Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calopsita EC's protests and gave Luisão Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. Luisão Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Calopsita EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nándor Gál to maneuver through the defense. Semih Şentürk who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Martins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Osvaldo Bertassi hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ulysses Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Wiarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Hugo Wiarda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E.C Vera Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Ksawery Bielatowicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ksawery Bielatowicz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luiz Fábio Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Bielatowicz in the 83rd minute of play forced Calopsita EC's goalkeeper Ulysses Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Martins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. E.C Vera Cruz's Alexandre Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save E.C Vera Cruz from getting a goal against them. If Luiz Fábio Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. E.C Vera Cruz were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Calopsita EC for a fine match.
