But to his dismay, Semih Şentürk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Edu Santos struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Lúcio Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calopsita EC. Lúcio Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Semih Şentürk's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Semih Şentürk in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Simões saved FC Schalke 04 from getting behind. Fe De sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, FC Schalke 04's goal looked a bit too open when Semih Şentürk came free, but Lúcio Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fe De to strike the kick off in the second half. Ulysses Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fe De, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute, Semih Şentürk made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio Simões. FC Schalke 04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-10. A collision led to Calopsita EC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Semih Şentürk hit a great ball. Calopsita EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
