If Dagoberto Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grêmio Santo André's Ladislav Telepovský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 杨志翀 in the 16th minute of play. Iwan Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Santana in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juvenal dos Santos got free with Iwan Wojtyna in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
