Richard Mendes had several of the Teresópolis F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Velcho Rolanski as he didn't even see the shot coming. Velcho Rolanski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Teresópolis F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Abraão came free, but Velcho Rolanski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Cristóvão Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SE Palestra Itália's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Clayton Sergi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Velcho Rolanski was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, SE Palestra Itália's Richard Mendes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Teresópolis F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Richard Mendes scored to the left of an out of position Velcho Rolanski, making the score, 4-0. With a little luck, Teresópolis F.C's Velcho Rolanski got control of the ball when Richard Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucjan Klewinski's late challenge caught a SE Palestra Itália's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucjan Klewinski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Lucjan Klewinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Velcho Rolanski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Madureira in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match, Richard Mendes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Velcho Rolanski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 38th minute Clayton Sergi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velcho Rolanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Andrézinho Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Richard Mendes made a precise shot to the right of Velcho Rolanski. Teresópolis F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucjan Klewinski made a kick off. After some careless play in the Teresópolis F.C defense, Cristóvão Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Velcho Rolanski. The Teresópolis F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Velcho Rolanski should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Teresópolis F.C getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Júnior Puyol hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, SE Palestra Itália's Richard Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Velcho Rolanski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. SE Palestra Itália's Gugu Schmidt was substituted for Rodriguinho Abraão. In the 74th minute Cristóvão Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velcho Rolanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Acar Buğrahan came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SE Palestra Itália fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acar Buğrahan couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Acar Buğrahan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Velcho Rolanski. Teresópolis F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Acar Buğrahan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. In the 80th minute Acar Buğrahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velcho Rolanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Teresópolis F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Duarte came free, but Velcho Rolanski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lucjan Klewinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teresópolis F.C's Velcho Rolanski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Mendes in the 86th minute of play. Velcho Rolanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acar Buğrahan in the 87th minute of play. Velcho Rolanski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Mendes's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Luiz Fabiano Duarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Velcho Rolanski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Fabiano Duarte ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th match minute, Teresópolis F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Messias to maneuver through the defense.
