The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Tapera booed when Pakovah F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, Tapera's Reinaldo Amaral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francisco Freire came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tapera reached it. Alan Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Coutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pakovah F.C. booed when Tapera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Freire came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Tapera's Bebeto de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Bebeto de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A hard shot 13 in the game by Percival Mello from a close distance when the talented Túlio Porto managed to make a qualified save. Tapera's players were relieved. Túlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Tapera's goalkeeper Túlio Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Percival Mello. After a rather tough play, Tapera's Sebastião Costa got a free kick in the 25th minute. Túlio Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Percival Mello's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Alan Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pakovah F.C.'s Francisco Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 32 minutes, Nicolas Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapera and the Pakovah F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Tapera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Coutinho in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alan Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapera's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Percival Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tapera fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Túlio Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Pena in the 59th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Percival Mello put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Túlio Porto. In the 69th minute of the match, Alan Coutinho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Francisco Freire was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 72nd minute Sílvio Luís Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percival Mello struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Túlio Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pakovah F.C.. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Tapera:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pakovah F.C.:s goal. The referee gave Pakovah F.C. a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sílvio Luís Quintal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tapera's Túlio Porto. 3-2. Túlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Percival Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Túlio Porto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percival Mello in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Túlio Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 97 played minutes Tapera got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Ribeiro. Pakovah F.C.'s Percival Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pakovah F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
