In the 4th minute, Válbson Sarmento made a precise shot to the right of Paulão Corrêa. Lakers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Paulão Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matadores FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Lakers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gerson Bueno took the corner. In the 15th minute, Rogério Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matadores FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Matadores FC booed when Lakers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lakers FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Wágner Sabóia hit a great ball. Paulão Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulão Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Haroldo Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aloísio Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nilton Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Lakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Bueno came free, but Paulão Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Eger in the 37th minute. Paulão Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Matadores FC's Gerson Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Matadores FC's Nilton Fontes in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lakers FC's goalie prevented a goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nilton Fontes to strike the kick off in the second half. Wágner Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Nilton Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matadores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilton Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's Rogério Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulão Corrêa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulão Corrêa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nilton Fontes's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Erivaldo Moreno struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Paulão Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matadores FC. Rogério Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Corrêa having to interfere. Nilton Fontes scored 0-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulão Corrêa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 70 played minutes Lakers FC got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Velloso. Paulão Corrêa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gerson Bueno. In the 72ndth minute of the game Nilton Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lakers FC's Paulão Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gerson Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matadores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerson Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Válbson Sarmento might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulão Corrêa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Válbson Sarmento ran back to his position shaking his head. Válbson Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Rogério Carneiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulão Corrêa, 0-5. In the 87th minute Rogério Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Lakers FC defense, Rogério Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulão Corrêa. The Lakers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulão Corrêa should have stopped the shot. Nilton Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulão Corrêa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. If Inácio Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lakers FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Vicente Paranaense hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Nilton Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matadores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilton Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matadores FC played a much better game than Lakers FC and deserved their victory. The Lakers FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
