The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Vilaprenyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Curcio was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Duarte Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Rigoberto Vilaprenyo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the RACING FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Vilaprenyo couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Navegantes Sporting's Agnaldo da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Curcio. Maximino Curcio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 90 minutes into the match, RACING FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when William Pinheiro came free, but Duarte Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Maximino Curcio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Navegantes Sporting fully deserved thier win.
