When Miguel Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Capanema EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Doriva Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Curcio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doriva Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Miguel Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capanema EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Curcio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Fernandes in the 17th minute of play forced Navegantes Sporting's goalkeeper Maximino Curcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Reis in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Reis in the 22nd minute of play forced Navegantes Sporting's goalkeeper Maximino Curcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Doriva Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Curcio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Maximino Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doriva Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Curcio having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doriva Reis in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Curcio saved Navegantes Sporting from getting behind. Agnaldo da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Paraíba having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Doriva Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capanema EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doriva Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Doriva Reis sped through Navegantes Sporting's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximino Curcio. After a rather tough play, Navegantes Sporting's Davi de Lara got a free kick in the 39th minute. The Navegantes Sporting players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Capanema EC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Miguel Fernandes made the kick off in the second half. If Miguel Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Maximino Curcio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capanema EC's Doriva Reis came free and shot a quick shot against goal 62 minutes in the game, fortunately Maximino Curcio had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Miguel Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Navegantes Sporting's Maximino Curcio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Navegantes Sporting from getting a goal against them. The Navegantes Sporting fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Navegantes Sporting's William Pinheiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Capanema EC's Frédson Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Pinheiro in the 74th minute of play. Maximino Curcio made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Flavinho de Lara sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Capanema EC defense, William Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frédson Paraíba. The Capanema EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frédson Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Maximino Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kauan Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Miguel Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Maximino Curcio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Capanema EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
