Andrzej Zaworski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Guerra having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Caetano Cordeiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caio Guerra, 1-0. Doriva da Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Caio Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Jacinto in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Vasconcelos in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doriva da Fonseca saved Antuérpia SC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Vasconcelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doriva da Fonseca was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Luiz Jacinto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caio Guerra, 2-0. The penalty shot was made by Luiz Jacinto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Grêmio FBPA - FDFDF's Caio Guerra. 3-0. In the 39th match minute, Grêmio FBPA - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Caetano Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caio Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Luizinho de Toledo took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caio Guerra. Caio Guerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 44th minute, Antuérpia SC's Andrzej Zaworski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Caio Guerra. Caio Guerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Vasconcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luizinho de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raimundo Vasconcelos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva da Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Caio Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Jacinto in the 60th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA - FDFDF's goalkeeper Caio Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grêmio FBPA - FDFDF's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 77 minutes of play, Antuérpia SC's Mala Kicia made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caio Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, Raimundo Vasconcelos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Doriva da Fonseca. The goal made the score 9-1. After some careless play in the Grêmio FBPA - FDFDF defense, Mala Kicia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caio Guerra. The Grêmio FBPA - FDFDF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caio Guerra should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Antuérpia SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
