Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Caneleiros FC's Marcus Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Sá in the 4th minute of play. Marcus Dias came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeira's Arlindo Messias. But to his dismay, Arlindo Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Frederico Negri made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Dias. Caneleiros FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Marcus Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Sá in the 12th minute of the match. Marcus Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Sá in the 14th minute of play forced Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Arlindo Messias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Marcus Dias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the Caneleiros FC defense, Mário Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Dias. The Caneleiros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Dias should have stopped the shot. In the 24th match minute, Palmeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Berger to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ronaldão de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caneleiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldão de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the game, Mário Saldanha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Marcus Dias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the match, Caneleiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Messias came free, but Marcus Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes Caneleiros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marquinhos Gaspar who took care of the corner kick. In the 33rd minute Arlindo Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Palmeira's Arlindo Messias in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caneleiros FC's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the game, Palmeira's Frederico Negri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Saldanha in the 39th minute of play forced Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Adhemar Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sérgio Dias during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Caneleiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Dias. Marcus Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Saldanha in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Palmeira were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Aníbal Marquez made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Edmílson Maciel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caneleiros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeira the free kick. A collision led to Caneleiros FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Edmílson Maciel hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute, Adhemar Sá made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Dias. Caneleiros FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Negri in the 58th minute of play forced Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adhemar Sá. In the 61st minute Aníbal Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palmeira's Mário Saldanha managed to work through Caneleiros FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mário Saldanha dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 66 minutes, Adhemar Sá made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Caneleiros FC's Marcus Dias tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus Dias came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeira's Raphael Severo. But to his dismay, Raphael Severo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Marcus Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raphael Severo went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Severo in the 81st minute of play forced Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Caneleiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Messias came free, but Marcus Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Frederico Negri notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Caneleiros FC's Marcus Dias. Marcus Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Adhemar Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caneleiros FC the free kick. The supporters of Caneleiros FC booed when Palmeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Aníbal Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arlindo Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Marcus Dias made a huge save. Palmeira's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
