Valmir Fahl was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Mário Saldanha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mário Saldanha really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mário Saldanha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mário Saldanha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Valmir Fahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adhemar Sá in the 29th minute. Valmir Fahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Saldanha in the 30th minute of play forced cavine-- f.c.'s goalkeeper Valmir Fahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, cavine-- f.c.'s goalkeeper Valmir Fahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arlindo Messias. 54 minutes into the game, Wellington Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. cavine-- f.c.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeira the free kick. After a rather tough play, cavine-- f.c.'s Wellington Albuquerque got a free kick in the 54th minute. Adhemar Sá took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valmir Fahl. Valmir Fahl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. A collision led to cavine-- f.c. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Zé Augusto Recife hit a great ball. After some careless play in the cavine-- f.c. defense, Mário Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valmir Fahl. The cavine-- f.c. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valmir Fahl should have stopped the shot. Valmir Fahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Messias in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Arlindo Messias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valmir Fahl was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Palmeira's Raphael Severo was substituted for Mário Saldanha. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Cleiton Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. cavine-- f.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cleiton Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Augusto Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Valmir Fahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Sá in the 83rd minute of the match. Perivaldo Coutinho tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Valmir Fahl. An unnecessary self made goal, 11-0 in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the cavine-- f.c. defense, Raphael Severo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valmir Fahl. The cavine-- f.c. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valmir Fahl should have stopped the shot. Adhemar Sá took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valmir Fahl. Valmir Fahl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. Valmir Fahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Adhemar Sá made a precise shot to the right of Valmir Fahl. cavine-- f.c.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. When the referee ended the match the Palmeira players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
