Guilherme de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mandi Bulín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Dias came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Florão da América's Guilherme de Souza. But to his dismay, Guilherme de Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Teodoro Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caneleiros FC's protests and gave Teodoro Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. Teodoro Carioca hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Caneleiros FC defense, Guilherme de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Dias. The Caneleiros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Dias should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute, Caneleiros FC's Clóvis Oliveira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Clóvis Oliveira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Caneleiros FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Clóvis Oliveira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 22nd minute, one of Caneleiros FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caneleiros FC. Marcus Dias had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Mohamed Mané's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute, Mandi Bulín got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guilherme de Souza in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Dias saved Caneleiros FC from getting behind. A throw-in in the 29th minute of the game was made by Durval de Almeida with Tony Valladares as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Florão da América's Mandi Bulín got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, Florão da América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Mané to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Caneleiros FC booed when Florão da América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Mané didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41stth minute of the game Guilherme de Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caneleiros FC's Marcus Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Guilherme de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florão da América's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilherme de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme de Souza in the 45th minute of play forced Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caneleiros FC's Edmílson Maciel got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Carioca was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Florão da América's Dragolyub Chavdarov got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Chico Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Dias was a little too slow when Mandi Bulín got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-4. Marcus Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mandi Bulín in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Caneleiros FC's Sérgio Dias got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the last second Marcus Dias throw himself and got hold of the ball when Guilherme de Souza in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Marcus Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mandi Bulín in the 71st minute. Florão da América's Mandi Bulín got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guilherme de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Marcus Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Caneleiros FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Chico Silva hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Caneleiros FC's Chico Silva got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mandi Bulín in the 82nd minute of play forced Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Guilherme de Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Dias. Caneleiros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme de Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Gilmar Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Gwidon Juchno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Florão da América played a much better game than Caneleiros FC and deserved their victory. The Caneleiros FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
